ABOUT

The Kenai Peninsula Re-Entry Coalition is driven to promote meaningful, system-level change for inmates and reentrant across the Borough. We are actively seeking new ideas to build sustainable programming and partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders.

Through advocacy, case management, and community partnerships, we are able to reduce the recidivism rates here and across the state.

WHAT WE DO

Our wraparound case management services help connect reentrants with resources and services by assisting in the navigation of agency programming and utilizing community partners to link our participants with the items they need.

This may include tangible resources or community services.

We know that supporting reentrants with their basic, unmet needs, we are helping them break the cycle of reoffense and rearrest. We work with the offenders at the highest risk of recidivism and help them through the process of reentering society from jail or prison.

RE-ENTRY CASE MANAGEMENT

To reduce recidivism by empowering reentrants for a safer community.

The Kenai Peninsula Reentry Coalition Case Manager works with individuals that have served at least 30 days in a sentenced facility and will release on Probation or Parole. We provide in-reach services up to 90 days prior to release and one year after release.

The Reentry Case Manager helps reentrants identify needs, set goals, and enroll in necessary services. These services may include housing assistance, substance use treatment, public assistance, job training or secondary education, transportation, Medicaid, and much more.

Our Reentry Case Manager keeps regular appointments with each reentrant to ensure success and identify gaps, barriers, and basic needs. By assisting reentrants in becoming functional members of society, the Kenai Peninsula Reentry Coalition is building a stronger, safer community and helping to reduce Alaska's recidivism rates.
